Singing workshop Forever Amy
Born in London, England, the 14 th of September of 1983, Amy Winehouse broke into the music scene when she was only 16 years old: a classmate sent her demo to a record label with which the singer was to sign her first contract as a jazz vocalist.
The distinctive color of her voice and her deep simplicity gave its best musical results in an eclectic mix of jazz, pop, soul and R & B. The singer, the tragic end of who would come the 23 th of July 2011, at 27 years old, for accidental death associated with her multiple addictions, won five Grammy Awards related to his album 2006, Back to Black, and will always be remembered for songs such as Rehab, Back to Blackand Valerie.
In Espai Coriveu we want to pay homage to the figure of Amy Winehouse and want to share with you our singing workshop Forever Amy, a monographic where we will talk about her life, origins, musical references, as well as about her personality and vocal technique. We will address her repertoire from a perspective that allows us to know what was exactly what she wanted to express through her music.
Because Amy Winehouse is already eternal in our hearts…
